One of those days

This is one of those days, where I just did what I had to do and nothing more or less. I felt very tired and rung out. I stripped two beds to wash the sheets I like to do that weekly, if I remember the last time I did it? The sheets are ready to put back on the beds plus I did a few more loads while I was at it. I suggested to Mac to take our queen size bed downstrairs and bring the double size up to our bedroom . We thought about that and both agreed, we did not have the energy to do the switch. Maybe we will do it when one of our grandson's come over to help us.
I have been doing a bit of research on publishing companies. I found an Canadian one, in Toronto, that publishes childrens books. I'll get my story ready and send it out to them I find that after I write my stories, doing the research to match up the story with the publishing company is the hardest chore. I'll go back to my writing course and refresh my mind on how to lay out my story properly, do a query letter and send it. Waiting can be the longest stretch of time, three months for them to get a reply back to me to say they got my story then longer for for a rejection or acceptance. With the publisher I am going to deal with , they say it will take up to one year to publish the story and when they do publish it. I will get up to 15% royalties of every book that is sold. They claim they will sell thousands of the authors books. The publishing company will pay, to have my book illustrated and printed: therefore I will not have to put out the money. This is good . Once an author sends in a story into a publishing company the author cannot send the same story to another publishing company until it has been rejected. I am always looking for more publishing companies to send other stories to in the mean time.
I have not written any chldrens stories for a few years so I must make time to write on a daily base. I am updating and correcting old stories at the moment, maybe that will get me into the grove.

That sounds better! It sounded a little fishy that you had to pay this past publishing company. I hope it works out a little more smoothly you for you this time around.
